Malaysia | an introduction to diving

Diving in Malay waters has two distinct regions. Mainland – or Peninsula Malaysia – which nestles between the South China Sea and the Straights of Malacca and Borneo’s two states, over 500 km away, which are surrounded by the South China, Sulu and Celebes Seas.

The marine environment Around Borneo is incredibly diverse so no matter where you go, there will be plenty to discover. Across on the Malaysian mainland, the offshore islands have some promising diving too. It's subject to seasonal weather patterns but if you are there at the right time, it's an area well worth exploring.
