Diving the Cod Hole
on Australia's
Great Barrier Reef

The most famous destination for scuba diving in Australia is naturally the Great Barrier Reef, which extends out into the Coral Sea off the northern coast of Queensland. This is a busy region with a highly developed tourist infratructure and many scuba diving options and facilities.

If you are looking for a more remote and peaceful diving experience, head to the western side of Australia.

The tiny, delightful and almost unheard of destinations of Christmas Island, Cocos Keeling and the Rowley Shoals lie way out in the Indian Ocean.
