|Towards the southern end of St Kitts and on the Caribbean side of the island, lies a protected cove called Shitten Bay. The dive crew on our liveaboard called this Bedroom Bay. They said it was because we were mooring there overnight, but more likely it was to deflect the jokes that surround the real name.
At the bottom of the mooring buoy there is a large, rich green seagrass bed. It is a juvenile nursery so we didn't travel far from the rope to explore the site. There are so many young fish right where we descended but we were smitten by these little babies... five of the cutest ballonfish (aka pufferfish) were sheltering in sponge coated knot of the rope.
