Dive Log
LOCATION:
Flying Fish Cove, Christmas Island
DIVE SITE:
Kelana’s mooring
DEPTH:
25 metres
SPECIES:
Enchelychore pardalis

Christmas Island is one of the few places on the planet where you can be – almost – guaranteed to see what must be the most beautiful moray eel in existence, the dragon moray eel.

We saw one on three seperate dives but on this site there were two and both within a few inches of each other. The first was nestled right beside a white mouth moray in a stand of organ pipe coral, while the other poked his nose out from a nearby crevice to see what the fuss was happening with his neighbours.
