Once known to wary outsiders as the Cannibal Islands, Fiji is now one of the friendliest nations you could ever visit. Way out in the South Pacific Ocean and lying on the 180 degree meridian where the dawn of each new day occurs, are the 300 or so islands that make up this small country.

Only a 100 or so are inhabited – the rest are left as pristine nature reserves – and almost all are ringed by coral reefs saturated with vibrant soft corals.
